2. Single Ferrule (Cutting Ring): The single ferrule is a small, tubular metal component with a cone-shaped inner surface. This ferrule is placed over the pipe or tube before insertion into the fitting body.
3. Nut: The nut is also made of metal and is threaded on the outside. It is used to secure the fitting and create the necessary compression force to make a tight seal.

Assembling of the Hydraulic fitting :

1. Assembly: To assemble the fitting, the single ferrule is first slid onto the pipe or tube, followed by the insertion of the tube into the fitting body. The end of the tube makes contact with the tapered surface inside the fitting body.
2. Compression: Next, the nut is threaded onto the fitting body, and as it tightens, it pushes the single ferrule forward. The tapered surface of the fitting body causes the single ferrule to compress around the tube evenly.
3. Bite and Seal: As the nut continues to tighten, the single ferrule “bites” into the outer surface of the tube, creating a strong mechanical grip. Simultaneously, it also forms a tight seal between the tube and the fitting body, preventing any fluid leakage.
4. Leak-tight Connection: The combination of mechanical grip and the metal-to-metal seal ensures a reliable and leak-tight connection, making it suitable for high-pressure hydraulic systems.
